Ayurvedic Facial Massage
Ayurvedic face massage is based on the ancient therapeutic principles of Ayurveda. It is a non-invasive and the most natural face lift that you can have.
The Ayurvedic view of health is in physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and that health is maintained by the balance of three subtle life-giving forces or Doshas: Vatta, Pitta, and Kapha each of these three Doshas has a role to play in the body and each Dosha possesses individual qualities.
This workshop will look at the benefits of Ayurvedic Face Massage. We will cleanse, tone and prepare the skin for a be-spoke blend of oils appropriate to skin type and work into the Marma points situated on the face, scalp and head. . Marma points are an integral part of Ayurveda and are the subtle pressure points, like points used in acupressure.
In Ayurveda, it is said that the ‘lifeforce’ is located in the head. We will work into these points to stimulate the lifeforce, balance and revitalise the bodies energies and assist in relieving tension and pressure.
This treatment can complement any holistic body massage therapist Aromatherapist or beauty therapist practice. We recommend this facial massage:
to relax and promote harmony to the mind and body
to de-stress
release stress induced toxins from the face and restore it to natural balance
to promote healing working with the emotions on a deep level
It is thought that Ayurvedic Facial Massage will:
promote relaxation to the muscles of the face and stimulates the circulation
improves the muscle tone of the face
relieve sinus congestion
assist lymphatic drainage
promote a reduction in neck and shoulder tension
promote a healthy glow to the complexion and imparts a smooth texture to the skin

Hot Stone Therapy
A stone massage is a massage that uses smooth, flat and heated rocks placed at key points on the body.
Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and metabolism.
Hot Stone therapy is technically termed as Geothermotherapy, that is the use of heated stones and chilled stones to affect a chemical release within the human body. The placing of the stones is often followed by a holistic massage, which results in a deeper and more intense treatment.
Stones usually made of Basalt are placed into an electric slow cooker which is filled with water , although you can now purchase Carry Bags that warm the stones which make it very convenient for the mobile therapist.

Thermo-Auricular Therapy
Thermo-Auricular Therapy is a complementary therapy that aims to help symptoms associated with the ear, nose and throat.
It involves placing a hollow, cone-shaped tube (or ‘candle’) made of cotton, soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs into the ear canal. This stimulates the ear and is believed to facilitate the removal of excess wax and impurities. Ear candling can promote deep relaxation and helps to relieve stress and revitalise the body.
What do people use ear candling for?
Ear candling is a holistic and complementary treatment - it is therefore not designed to treat/cure any particular ailment. It is a natural approach and many people say they find it helpful for maintaining general health and well-being.
Those who may benefit from ear candling include those struggling with:
migraines
hay fever
anxiety and stress
post flying and driving pressure
swimmer’s ear
asthma
vertigo
yeast infections
colds and flu
parasites
itching in the ears
